purpose

This policy outlines The Water Affect’s commitment to safeguarding all participants and maintaining a strict zero tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Policy Statement

The Water Affect has zero tolerance for any form of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and is firmly committed to protecting the safety, dignity, rights, and wellbeing of all participants.

The Water Affect is currently not an NDIS registered provider and delivers services to participants who are self-managed, plan-managed, or privately funded.

Safeguarding Principles

The Water Affect is committed to ensuring that:

  • All participants have the right to feel safe, respected, and protected at all times

  • Any concerns or allegations relating to abuse or neglect are taken seriously and responded to appropriately

  • Staff maintain clear, professional, and appropriate boundaries at all times

  • Participants, families, and carers are encouraged and supported to report any safety concerns without fear of disadvantage

  • Appropriate action is taken promptly in response to safeguarding concerns, in line with relevant policies and procedures
