purpose

This policy outlines how The Water Affect manages parents, carers & session observations to support both participant flexibility and the ongoing sustainability of services.

Policy Statement

The Water Affect welcomes parents, carers, and support persons to observe sessions where appropriate and where doing so supports the participant’s comfort, engagement, and overall experience.

To maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for all participants, and in accordance with hydrotherapy facility requirements, limits may apply to the number of people permitted within the pool or viewing areas at any given time.

All parents, carers, support persons, and visitors are expected to comply with directions provided by The Water Affect team members and hydrotherapy facility staff while attending sessions.

Unless specifically approved or incorporated as part of a planned activity, siblings and additional visitors are not permitted to enter the pool during sessions.

Respect for the privacy and confidentiality of all participants is essential. Photography, filming, or video recording during sessions is not permitted unless prior approval has been granted by The Water Affect and consent has been obtained from all individuals who may be captured in the recording.
