THE WATER AFFECT BENEFITS:
-
Builds Independence with Confidence
Children begin to separate from their parent in a supported way, developing confidence in themselves while still feeling safe and secure in the water.
 -
Strengthens Foundational Movement Skills
Skills introduced during the babies program are refined into more purposeful, coordinated, and functional movement patterns that support swimming progression.
 -
Improves Water Awareness & Safety
Toddlers develop a deeper understanding of the water environment, including body positioning, breath control, and early safety responses.
 -
Enhances Coordination & Strength
Through guided movement, children build strength, balance, and coordination — all essential for efficient and confident swimming.
 -
Supports Emotional Regulation
Familiar routines and a calm, consistent environment help children manage transitions, build resilience, and feel more at ease without their caregiver in the water.
 -
Encourages Listening & Following Guidance
Children begin to respond to instructor cues, supporting focus, engagement, and early learning skills in a group setting.
 -
Promotes Social Development
Small group classes provide opportunities to interact with peers, encouraging turn-taking, observation, and shared experiences.
 -
Continues a Positive Relationship with Water
By building on an already familiar and enjoyable experience, children maintain confidence and develop a lifelong comfort and respect for the water.

AQUA TOTS
This small, nurturing class is designed exclusively for graduates of the Aqua Babies and Toddler Program, gently guiding children toward greater independence – all while feeling safe, supported, and confident.
Â
With no more than three children per class, your child receives focused attention in a calm and encouraging environment. This allows them to explore the water at their own pace, building trust in both themselves and their surroundings without a parent in the pool.
Â
While around 3 years of age is a general guide, every child’s journey is unique. Your instructor will work closely with you to ensure your child transitions at the right time, based on their individual readiness, confidence, and comfort.
Â
This is more than just a step forward – it’s an opportunity for your child to grow in confidence, develop independence, and deepen their relationship with the water in a positive and supported way.

Classes will begin on time to respect others in the group and any commitments that follow. However, you are always welcome to join the session wherever the class is up to upon your arrival. (No more than 15 min late for this class structure).
Â
We understand that transitions with little ones can be challenging, and some days are simply harder than others. Late arrivals are welcomed without judgment. Rushing children can create additional stress, so we support families in arriving at a pace that feels right for them.
