THE WATER AFFECT BENEFITS:

While each session is individualised, there is also a focus on social connection and participation. Children are gently encouraged to engage with others in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful, supporting:

  • A sense of belonging

  • Increased confidence

  • Development of social skills

  • Improved emotional wellbeing

  • Opportunities to build friendships

This approach ensures that every child not only develops essential water safety skills and functional movement, but also experiences connection, inclusion, and a genuine sense of community.

Our environment is enhanced with magnesium-enriched water and red light therapy, working together to encourage muscle relaxation, sensory processing, and biophotonic signalling to the brain — helping the body feel safe, organised, and ready to move.

These sessions provide dedicated one-on-one attention, creating a calm and supportive space where each child can feel safe, understood, and confident. Through an adaptive and responsive approach, children are supported to regulate, build trust, and develop functional movement at their own pace.

As confidence and capability grow, many children transition into small group settings, bringing with them a strong foundation in water awareness, movement, and self-assurance.

The personalised aquatic sessions are thoughtfully designed for children who benefit from additional support in the water — including those with physical disabilities, sensory sensitivities, or a fear of the aquatic environment.

These sessions provide dedicated one-on-one attention, creating a calm and supportive space where each child can feel safe, understood, and confident. Through an adaptive and responsive approach, children are supported to regulate, build trust, and develop functional movement patterns that feel natural, organised, and sustainable in the water.

A strong emphasis is placed on water safety, helping children build awareness of their body, their environment, and how to respond safely and confidently in the water.

As confidence and capability grow, many children transition into small group settings, bringing with them a solid foundation in water safety, movement, and self-assurance.

Classes will begin on time to respect others in the group and any commitments that follow. However, you are always welcome to join the session wherever the class is up to upon your arrival. (No more than 15 min late for this class structure).

We understand that transitions with little ones can be challenging, and some days are simply harder than others. Late arrivals are welcomed without judgment. Rushing children can create additional stress, so we support families in arriving at a pace that feels right for them.

CLASS OUTCOMES:

Every child is supported through an adaptive, child-led approach – meaning we follow your child’s cues, pace, and individual needs to create a learning experience that feels safe, positive, and empowering.

  • Water Safety & Drowning Prevention
Children develop strong, practical safety skills through experiences that are guided by their readiness – not forced – helping them respond confidently and calmly in the water.

  • Stroke Development Through Functional Movement
Rather than rigid instruction, we support natural, organised movement patterns that evolve into efficient stroke technique. This creates movement that feels easier, more connected, and sustainable.

  • Social Connection & Belonging
Through small group interaction and paired experiences, children are gently supported to engage with others in a way that feels comfortable, building confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging.

  • A Personalised Pathway for Progress
Every child moves through a structured pathway at their own pace. By adapting to the individual, we reduce overwhelm and create meaningful, achievable progress that builds true confidence. Our goal is that your child will progress through and attain competence in levels required for water confidence and safety while developing all of the above.
