changes to session delivery policy
This statement was last updated: May 2026.
purpose
This policy outlines how The Water Affect manages changes to session delivery to support both participant flexibility and the ongoing sustainability of services.
Policy Statement
The Water Affect is committed to providing consistent supports, including maintaining regular lesson times and familiar instructors wherever possible, to promote routine, comfort, and continuity for participants.

From time to time, adjustments to scheduled sessions may be necessary due to circumstances such as instructor illness, staffing availability.

Where a participant’s regular instructor is unavailable, an alternative appropriately qualified and trained team member may be assigned to facilitate the session. In these circumstances, the scheduled lesson will still be considered available and operating as planned.

If a participant elects not to attend a session due to a change in instructor, the absence will be treated as a participant cancellation and may be charged in line with these Terms and Conditions.

In situations where The Water Affect is required to cancel a lesson due to staff illness and no suitable replacement instructor can be arranged, participants will not be charged for the cancelled session.

Where suitable availability exists, a make-up session may be offered.
