purpose
This policy outlines how The Water Affect manages extended absences and retaining session bookings to support both participant flexibility and the ongoing sustainability of services.
Policy Statement
The Water Affect reserves weekly lesson times specifically for each participant to support consistency, familiarity, and continuity of supports throughout the term.

If a participant is away for an extended period, including for holidays or planned leave, session fees will continue to be payable in order to retain the allocated booking and secure the participant’s ongoing place within the program.

As reserved lesson times remain unavailable for other participants to book during the term, families who choose not to maintain payments during an absence may lose their allocated session. In these situations, the booking may be offered to another participant and the original lesson time cannot be guaranteed upon return.

Where appropriate, participants may request make-up sessions for lessons missed during extended absences. All make-up requests will be managed in accordance with The Water Affect’s Make-Up Session Policy and remain subject to availability. Make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
